Peec AI Alternatives: How to Compare When Prices Are Hidden

The short answer

Good Peec AI alternatives are Otterly.AI, Ahrefs Brand Radar, Semrush, AthenaHQ, Scrunch and Profound, plus a free spreadsheet route. Peec's pricing page names four plans but shows no amounts 1, so compare tools by cost per 1,000 AI answers tracked. We have tested none of them, and every price below is the vendor's own public figure.

  • Peec AI's pricing page names Starter, Pro, Advanced and Enterprise plans but shows no amounts 1.
  • Peec says monthly AI answers equal prompts times models times frequency, a formula you can apply to any tool 1.
  • By our arithmetic, listed plans cost roughly $10 to $20 per 1,000 answers checked.
  • Data export, API and connectors vary by plan on the pages we read.

What are the best alternatives to Peec AI?

It depends on what you are replacing. For a posted price, look at Otterly.AI, Scrunch and AthenaHQ. For a suite you may already own, look at Ahrefs Brand Radar or Semrush. For large-company needs, look at Profound's Enterprise plan. For a tiny prompt list, a spreadsheet and the free Google and Microsoft reports can be enough.

Disclosure: Chalk Labs sells AI SEO audits and page production, not a tracker, so we have a stake in readers hiring help. We read each vendor page on 20 October 2026 and ran no hands-on test. This page therefore ranks nothing and judges no tool's accuracy.

What do we know about Peec AI from its own pages?

Peec describes itself as an AI search analytics platform for marketing teams. Its homepage names ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini and lists AI Mode among its trackers 2. It claims more than 3,500 brands and agencies and a 4.7 out of 5 rating on G2, both vendor claims we could not check 2.

The pricing page lists a Data Studio connector, API and MCP data access, and custom CSV exports, without saying which plan includes each 1. It lists no trial. Its plans appear as Starter, Pro and Advanced on a monthly label, and Enterprise as custom with annual billing 1. For amounts, you contact the vendor or open an account.

How do you compare cost when one price is hidden?

Convert every plan into cost per 1,000 AI answers. Peec's own page gives the idea: monthly AI answers are tracked prompts multiplied by active models and tracking frequency 1. Apply the same sum to any tool, then divide the monthly price.

The table shows our arithmetic for two vendors that publish both a price and a volume. It is an illustration, not a quote. We assumed each Otterly prompt runs daily on its four included engines for 30 days, based on its plan description 3; the Otterly figures assume daily runs on four included engines. Ahrefs counts one check per prompt, platform and location 4. The Ahrefs pricing page does not make clear whether these packages are charged on top of the $199 Brand Radar add-on, so confirm that before comparing 4.

Ahrefs Growth prompt package$100 a month 47,000 checks 4$14.29
Ahrefs Scale prompt package$250 a month 425,000 checks 4$10.00
Otterly Lite$29 a month 315 prompts x 4 engines x 30 days = 1,800$16.11
Otterly Standard$189 a month 3100 x 4 x 30 = 12,000$15.75

How do the alternatives differ beyond price?

Price per answer is only one lens. The next table shows what stood out on each vendor's page and what to check before you commit.

Otterly.AI$29, $189, $489 a month 3Four engines included; Claude, AI Mode and Gemini cost extra 3.Which of its two price sets is monthly.
Ahrefs Brand RadarFrom $199 a month; packages $50 to $250 4Prompt research across a database of 492 million+ prompts 4.Whether the annual saving applies to the add-on.

AthenaHQFree tier; Starter $295 a month 711 engines on Starter 7.Starter is single-language, country-level 7.
Scrunch$300 a month, or $250 on annual billing 87-day Starter trial, no card 8.Growth and Enterprise have no self-serve trial 8.
ProfoundFree trial; Enterprise custom 9Up to nine engines, API, CSV and JSON exports, SOC 2 9.Needs a sales call for a price.

Which Peec features should you look for elsewhere?

Look at data access first, because it decides whether your numbers can leave the tool. Peec lists a Data Studio connector, API and MCP access, and CSV exports 1. Otterly lists a Looker Studio connector and, on Standard, 2,000 API and 2,000 MCP requests a month 3. Scrunch lists an Enterprise Data API only on its custom tier 8.

Semrush is the one to double-check. Its blog says neither Prompt Tracking dataset is available through the Semrush API yet, and that tracking starts the day you create a campaign with no backfill 6. The toolkit page lists 10 CSV exports a day 5. Ask every vendor whether it can load past data; we did not find a promise of this on the pages we read.

Should you stay with Peec or switch?

Stay if your dashboard answers your questions and you trust the numbers. Switching may cost you history: Semrush says tracking starts the day you create a campaign, with no backfill 6. Switch if the price you were quoted is high for your prompt count, if you need an engine Peec does not list, or if you want a posted price.

Be careful about how you judge accuracy. Yext compared four AI engines on 491,972 local cases and found they named the same top business only 4% of the time 10. Two trackers can therefore disagree for good reasons. Test with the same prompts, as in our AI visibility tracking tools compared.

What should you ask before you sign?

Take this list to Peec or any alternative. It turns a demo into numbers you can compare.

Sales-call questions (copy and paste)
  • 1. What is the monthly price at 40 prompts, 4 engines, 2 countries?
  • 2. Is that price monthly, or annual billing?
  • 3. How many AI answers does that plan check per month?
  • 4. Which engines are included, and which cost extra?
  • 5. Can I export all raw answers as CSV, and is there an API on this plan?
  • 6. Is there a free trial on my own prompts?
  • 7. What is the cancellation rule? Can I pause?
  • 8. How do you separate a brand mention from a link to my page?

Is a free option good enough?

For a short list, yes. Digiday reported in May 2026 that agency leaders see these tools as benchmarks, not sources of truth 11. A monthly log of 20 to 30 prompts does the same job at no cost.

Start with the AI prompt list builder and the manual vs automated prompt tracking comparison. Add the free reports described in Search Console vs AI visibility tools.

Frequently asked questions

How much does Peec AI cost?

The pricing page we read on 20 October 2026 names Starter, Pro, Advanced and Enterprise plans but shows no amounts 1. You need to contact the vendor or open an account to see them. Prices change, so ask for a written quote.

Is Otterly.AI cheaper than Peec AI?

We cannot say, because Peec shows no price on the page we read 1. Otterly lists $29, $189 and $489 a month 3. Get a Peec quote at the same prompt count, then compare cost per 1,000 answers.

Which alternative covers the most AI engines?

AthenaHQ lists 11 engines on its Starter plan 7, and Profound lists up to nine on Enterprise 9. More engines does not mean better data, so judge by the engines your buyers use.

Can I export my data from these tools?

Many offer CSV export, but access varies by plan. Peec lists CSV exports and an API 1, Athena lists CSV export on Starter 7, and Semrush lists 10 CSV exports a day 5. Ask which plan includes raw answers.

Do I need a tracker if I am a small business?

Often not at first. A monthly log of 20 to 30 prompts plus the free Google and Microsoft reports gives a baseline. Add a paid tool when you need more engines, competitors or history. See how to set up an AI visibility tracking spreadsheet.
