About this book

You tell us the name, what it means and who chose it, tap who was there and pick a template. AI puts your photos in the order of the day, writes the captions in English, Hindi or Hinglish and shows you a preview to confirm. No design work, no editor.

Printed copies are paid, for your shelf and for the grandparents.

Page by page
  1. Cover

Your baby's name in large type over a photo from the day. You choose from three cover options, such as The Day We Named You, Vihaan.

  2. The name page

The name, its meaning and who chose it, in your words. We never invent a meaning. You read and confirm this page before anything else.

  3. Getting ready

The decorations, the new clothes, the family arriving and the baby in someone's lap. Photos are sorted by the time they were taken, so the book follows the day.

  4. The ceremony

The puja or havan, the name whispered in the baby's ear, the name written on a thali of rice, the cradle. Practice varies by family, region and community, so the book shows only the moments in your photos, captioned the way you describe them.

  5. Family blessings

  6. Moments on video

  7. A letter to your baby

The questions we ask
  1. What is your baby's first name? Any pet name at home?
  2. How old was your baby at the naamkaran? (tap: under 2 weeks, 2 to 4 weeks, 1 to 3 months, older)
  3. What does the name mean, and who chose it?
  4. Who was there? Tap everyone (Mumma, Papa, Dadi, Dada, Nani, Nana, Bua, Masi, Chacha, Mama, siblings) and add names
  5. Which moments happened? (tap any: puja or havan, name whispered in the ear, name written on rice, cradle, family blessings, lunch)
  6. Which language should the captions be in? English, Hindi or Hinglish

Questions parents ask

Is it really free?

Making the book and saving the PDF is free. Printing is optional and paid, and we confirm the price and delivery date by email before you pay.

What happens to my photos?

Photo books are laid out on your device and the photos never leave it. For illustrated books, up to three photos are used once to draw the character and then deleted. See privacy.

Do you suggest names or check the name against nakshatra or rashi?

No. We do not suggest names, calculate nakshatra, rashi or muhurat, or give religious guidance. The book uses the name, meaning and story your family gives us, and you confirm the name page before anything is made.

Our family does the ceremony differently. Will the book fit?

Naming ceremonies vary by family, region and community, and many families have their own word for the day. Tap only the moments that happened, type the name your family uses for the ceremony, and the captions follow your answers. Any page you do not want can be removed in the preview.
