About this book

Printed copies are paid, one for their shelf at home and one for the office if you like.

Page by page
  1. Cover

Their name, the years of service and a photo you choose, such as Thank You, Ramesh Sir: 34 Years of Service at Shivaji Nagar Branch. You pick from three cover options in the preview.

  2. The career story

A short chapter from the year they joined to their last day, written by AI from the roles and postings you give and from colleagues' memories of meeting them. Nothing is invented: if a year is missing, it is left out. You approve it or regenerate it before anything else.

  3. Then and now

  4. Messages from the office

  5. In three words

One page built from everyone's three-word answers, so the words the office used most, like calm, patient or chai, stand out.

  6. What you will finally have time for

The team's guesses and hopes for the free mornings ahead: the garden, the grandchildren, the trip to Rameswaram, the novel they keep mentioning.

  7. Moments on video

  8. Your next innings

The closing pages: wishes for the years ahead, a short note from you as organiser, and the names of everyone who took part.

The questions we ask
  1. Organiser: What is their name, and what does the office call them? (for example, Ramesh Sir or KP)
  2. Organiser: In one line, what are they known for at work?
  3. Organiser: When did they join, what were their main roles or postings (one line each, up to five), and when is the last working day?
Best for and styles
  • A senior colleague retiring after decades at one office, branch or plant
  • Bank, PSU and government office staff planning a send-off at the month-end retirement
  • Fellow staff marking the retirement of a teacher, professor, doctor or nurse
  • A team spread across cities and shifts that can never sign one card together
  • An organiser with a week to go and no time to design anything
  • Classic corporate: clean serif type, navy and cream, for a formal send-off
  • Sevanivritti formal: a saffron and gold border with Devanagari type, for a Hindi or bilingual book
  • Warm scrapbook: polaroid frames, tape and handwritten-style captions
  • Office doodle: a hand-drawn caricature cover made from a photo you choose
  • Minimal: white space, large photos and big pull-quotes

Questions parents ask

Is it really free?

Making the book and saving the PDF is free. Printing is optional and paid, and we confirm the price and delivery date by email before you pay.

What happens to my photos?

Photo books are laid out on your device and the photos never leave it. For illustrated books, up to three photos are used once to draw the character and then deleted. See privacy.

Will it be ready for the retirement function?

The digital book goes live at the time you choose, by default 10 am on the last working day, so it is always ready for the function. For a printed copy, we check your pincode before you pay and tell you whether it can arrive in time. If it cannot, the digital book is the reveal on the day and the printed book goes to their home afterwards.

Our office does a formal sevanivritti function. Does the book fit?

Yes. Choose the Sevanivritti formal style and Hindi or bilingual captions, and set the formal tone. Customs vary from office to office, so the book follows your answers and photos rather than a fixed ritual. Our guide to retirement farewells in a government office covers planning the day.
