Codex is a coding agent from OpenAI. The CLI runs locally on your computer, and the same agent is also offered in IDEs, a desktop app and a cloud version at chatgpt.com/codex. It can run many agents in parallel, keep working in cloud environments after you close your laptop, and review pull requests. You sign in with a ChatGPT plan or use an API key.
