Need help deploying arm-templates?
Chalk Labs sets up agents like this inside real teams: connected to your tools, tested on your data, with a human in the loop where it matters.
Install
Works with Claude Code, Claude apps, Codex, Cursor, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot, VS Code, OpenCode, Goose, Windsurf. Read the repository before you give any tool access to your data.
npx agentmarket install skill/sickn33-arm-templates
Asks which of your tools to add it to (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, VS Code, Windsurf, Gemini CLI, Claude Desktop) and shows the change first. See https://agentmart.dev/cli.

# ARM Templates & Bicep
Deploy Azure infrastructure with ARM templates and Bicep. Bicep is the recommended domain-specific language that compiles to ARM JSON, offering cleaner syntax, modules, and first-class tooling support.
Templates are separate illustrative fragments, not a complete resource graph. Module paths and parameter files named here are not bundled. Pin reviewed Bicep/provider API/image versions, verify resource IDs/subscription/region, and inspect What-If and replacement/deletion impact before authorized deployment. Validation/build success does not prove deployability, networking isolation, quotas or safe changes. Deleting a deployment record does not roll back deployed resources.
## Prerequisites
```bash
# Install Azure CLI
# Prerequisite: organization-approved Azure CLI installed from a verified signed package.
az version
# Install Bicep CLI (bundled with Azure CLI 2.20+)
az bicep install
az bicep upgrade
# Verify installation
az bicep version
# Login and set subscription
az login
az account set --subscription "my-subscription-id"
```
## Bicep Fundamentals
### Resource Group Deployment with Virtual Network

@description('Base name for all resources')
param baseName string
var vnetName = '${baseName}-${environment}-vnet'
var nsgName = '${baseName}-${environment}-nsg'
resource nsg 'Microsoft.Network/networkSecurityGroups@2023-05-01' = {
