About

Basic Memory keeps an AI's memory as Markdown files on the user's disk, with a knowledge graph built from observations and wikilinks plus semantic and full-text search. It is MCP-native and works with Claude, Codex, Cursor and other MCP clients. A paid cloud version adds sync across devices, and the full app is open source under AGPL-3.0.
