Chef generates full-stack web apps that come with a built-in database, zero-config auth, file uploads, real-time UIs and background workflows. It runs on the Convex platform and is a fork of the stable branch of bolt.diy. Convex hosts a web app with a free tier, and the repository can also be run locally with your own Anthropic, Google, OpenAI or xAI API keys and a Convex OAuth application. The README says a production fork would need to replace the built-in authentication system.
